Test run operation
Test run is the ideal way to prove the systems heating and cooling performance.
A common misconception is the system runs at 100% performance for the full 2 hours. This is incorrect. The system operates at its optimum performance levels of around 50 to 70 hz compressor frequency and simply ignores the return air sensor readings, therefore, doesnt cycle off.
Test operation last for 2 hours unless manually disabled before the 2 hours has elapsed.
The function can be activated through the remote controller on both P-series and M-series systems.
Test run operation can be used to assist commissioning, fault finding or simply servicing a unit.
Test run operation
If the dip switches are left on, the test operation will automatically stop after 2 hours of operation.
If at any point you want to disable test run, turn SW4 dips 1 and 2 both off.
To activate test run heating - switch SW4 dip 2 on first then SW4 dip 1 on.
To activate test run cooling - switch SW4 dip 1 on.
On the P-series systems you can activate test operation via SW4 dip switches on the outdoor unit control board.

The Emergency operation switch (E.O.SW) under the main front cover of the M-series wall mounted units, can be used to activate test run. Press the button once for test cooling, a second time for test heating and a third time to stop operation. The E.O switch overides the remote controller operation . Test operation will automatically stop after 2 hours in case the E.O switch has not manually been stopped.

Activating test run - PAR-41MAA
Once test run operation has started, the screen will display as shown on the right.
The mode (heating/cooling) and fan speed can be adjusted on the controller during test run operation. The screen changes from displaying return air temperature, to showing indoor unit pipe temperature during test run. The top right corner shows the time left in test run, counting down from 2 hours. Test run can be deactivated at any point within the 2 hour operation period by pressing the On/off button.
