European CommissionThe Commission is steered by a group of 27 Commissioners, known as 'the college'. Together they take decisions on the Commission's political and strategic direction. A new college of Commissioners is appointed every 5 years. It is organised into policy departments, known as Directorates-General (DGs), which are responsible for different policy areas. The Commission has offices throughout the world. Inside the EU, representation offices act as the Commission’s voice in their host country.

World Health Organization WHO is an organization of 194 Member States. The Member States elect the Director-General, who leads the organization in achieving its global health goals. The team of 8000+ professionals includes the world’s leading public health experts, including doctors, epidemiologists, sWorld Health Organizationcientists and managers.

European Public Health Association AEUPHAn umbrella organisation for public health associations and institutes in Europe. EUPHA was founded in 1992 by 15 members (12 countries). EUPHA now has 80 members from 47 countries: 42 national associations of public health 29 institutional members 8 individual members 2 global members 13 partners

European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)ECDCECDC is monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and assessing the risk to the EU. ECDC’s main role as an agency of the European Union is to strengthen Europe’s defences against communicable diseases. In its first ten years, ECDC worked together with all EU/EEA countries in response to public health threats and emerging diseases.
