A whistleblower is a person, usually an employee, who exposes information or activity within a private, public, or government organization that is deemed illegal, illicit, unsafe, or a waste, fraud, or abuse of taxpayer funds. Those who become whistleblowers can choose to bring information or allegations to surface either internally or externally.

You are a NSA agent >>

The National Security Agency (NSA) is a national-level intelligence agency of the United States Department of Defense. The NSA is responsible for global monitoring, collection, and processing of information and data for foreign and domestic intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The NSA is also tasked with the protection of U.S. communications networks and information systems. It relies on a variety of measures to accomplish its mission, the majority of which are clandestine.

"My dear friends, I really need your help. I'm sending this message from a famous capital and I need you to transmit classified information to someone I know. My e-mails might be checked and I may be in a great danger. I have left different documents and clues in the study of a small apartment not far from Washington D.C. and I had to encrypt some pieces of information as I am sure we might be spied on. During your quest, you need to pick up information on whistleblowing over the last decade so as to understand what led me - and others - to act the way I did. Be smart and we will see each other soon. Good luck."

Mission Order X-S2CU2 : after the interception of a message that might lead to cause potential harm to our country, you are expected to avoid the transmission of highly classified data via person to person as the target knows networks are being watched over. 1- Investigate and try to locate the target. 2- Gather information for a thorough report. As usual, your mission must be led incognito and without any backup from the Agency. You must behave like a normal citizen and if caught, the Agency will deny having any connection with you.

Have you got your Japan Rail Pass ?

Why ?

Going from Tokyo to Kyoto

ようこそ Welcome to Japan

From Tokyo Station or Shinagawa Station there are three types of shinkansen you can take to Kyoto. These are the Nozomi , the Hikari and the Kodama . You should not take the Kodama because it stops at every station on the way and takes about four hours. The Nozomi is the fastest and most frequent train as it travels between Kyoto and Tokyo in just 2 hours and 20 minutes. However, the Nozomi is not covered by the Japan Rail Pass. If you wish to use the Japan Rail Pass, your best choice is the Hikari which takes just two hours and 40 minutes to cover the distance. The normal fare from Tokyo or Shinagawa to Kyoto is 13,080 yen.

Your Flight was 14 hours long and after a few hours' sleep, you take the train at 9:03. You may need to make a last minute booking on your way back to Tokyo and take a plane early in the evening.Which option is the best ?

The Zuihoden mauloseum is really worth the visit but you have lost a whole day doing something else.

The place is awesome but will you find any clue here? You spend a day swimming and having fun.

Osaka Castle is beautiful and played a major role in the unification of Japan in the 16th century but you have been wasting a day there as far as your investigation is concerned.

That parcel is too conspicuous, let's go to the toilet, take what is inside and put it in your suitcase. You will look at all this once in the hotel room you will take for a couple of hours before leaving Japan.Fortunately you don't need to go through the security gates at the moment.

Where shall we go now ?

You leave your hotel to take the next train to Tokyo airport. Fortunately at this time of year, the planes are not crowded and you can use the money found in the suitcase to book a last minute flight. You're heading to Hong Kong.

When you arrive someone is here to welcome you. Who shall you come to meet ?

An armed man is right behind the door; ONLY once you have gathered all the necessary information, you need to do something in order to get out safely.

In the HK apartment

Thanks to the lighter found next to the boiler, you set fire to a page of your notepad and trigger the fire alarm. Confusion follows and you quickly leave the residence unnoticed. You spend some time going around the city not to arouse suspicion and take the next plane in the evening. Click on the green button.

You go to the airport and ask for good books to read during your flight. The newsagent suggests two Agatha Christie titles.

I can't be with you at the moment, I need to change places regularly for my own safety, but you have gathered enough information to write your newspaper article. If you are NSA agents, I knew you would try to frame me, that's why I couldn't take the risk to be here in flesh and blood. Hope you have better luck next time.

Go and see my journalist friend who will tell you how to transmit the information you have gathered safely. Good luck !

Hi ! Good job, you have made it ! Congratulations ! I have left a laptop in the room so you can safely book a plane ticket from here to you know where. The code is the name of the city.
