Live sessions of the Spanish and Polish students

THE BEST PLACES FOR HOLIDAYS Spanish students recommended going for holidays to Pirineos when you want to go to the mountains and Donosti when you prefer sunbathing and beach holiday.

THE DATES OF THE SPANISH-POLISH SESSIONS: - 18th January 2021 - 26th April 2021 The Polish students had two live sessions with the Spanish students. They enjoyed their virtual trips a lot and got to know a lot of interesting facts about Spain.

JAI ALAI The Polish students heard for the first time about a ball game called jai alai. It is a sport originated in Basque region. Jai alai is played in a three-walled court with a hard rubber ball that is caught and thrown with a cesta, a long, curved wicker scoop strapped to one arm.

FOOD Basque cuisine consists of many delicious dished e.g. Bacalao pil-pil, Pintxos, Alubias de Tolosa, Merluza en salsa verde. Many students are also keen on Asian food e.g. Sushi

THE MAIN INTERESTS AND HOBBIES OF OUR SPANISH FRIENDS: - watching films and serials on Netflix - listening to songs - using social media (their favourite apps are: Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest) - doing different sports (karate, football, basketball, handball, volleyball)

VITORIA-GASTEIZ Vitoria-Gasteiz is the capital city of the Basque Autonomous Community. It is surrounded by nature. There are numerous parks and well-maintained green spaces and breathtaking architecture. The Old Town is situated in the heart of Vitoria-Gasteiz. The main square of the city is called Virgin Blanca Square. The whole city is built around it in an almond shape. In 2012 Vitoria-Gasteiz was awarded the title of European Green Capital.

KOLDO MITXELENA SCHOOL -a typical school day starts at 8 a.m. and finishes at 3p.m. -a lesson lasts 50 minutes -the most favourite subjects of our Spanish friends are history and art and they love breaks:)
