Three NGO's and five universities across Europe have joined forces to deliver a serious game on the topics of cyberharrassment and cybersexism. This game is meant for middle-school students and is available in six languages. A teacher's manual and this module have been created to help teachers use the game in their class as a starting point for a discussion on cyberharassment. This project was financed by Erasmus+ and will remain free to use in the future.

Due to the pandemic, the first "mobility" event planned in Antwerp (Belgium) could not take place in March 2020 but took place one year later online.

#YouToo

It is 2083 and our society spends most of their time working, talking and playing games on the internet and social media. This virtual world also has some challenges, the most common of which is cyberharrassment. It is extremely hard to combat! Our company, Shielders Inc., however, provides a solution to this problem. Our new antivirus tool, known as 'Antibullyer', is a way to control cyberharassment and destroy every cruel comment or message. As one of our testers, YOU are offered the honour of testing 3 different mini-games of our new product on your device.

Surveying middle-school students across Europe to know their interests and chose the topics for the mobility

(online) gathering university students across Europe to develop the best possible game proposal

Creating a first version of the game, based on the winning proposal & Testing the game in middle-schools across Europe

Improving the game into a final version and finalising everything in the different languages

Writing a pedagogical manual and developing the e-learning module to help teachers using the game with their students

In the second mini-game, you will take on the identity of Tatiana, the Princess. But she's not your usual Princess, she's an Antibullyer! Fire a Thumbs Up at the good comments and a Thumbs Down at bad comments to gain points. If you hit a bad comment with a Thumbs Up or a good comment with a Thumbs Down by mistake, you lose points. Use the LEFT and RIGHT arrows to move. Use the DOWN arrow to toggle between Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down. Use the SPACE bar to fire.

In the third mini-game, you will take on the identity of Pinky Superhero. Your objective is to destroy all bad emojis by shooting them down with good emojis. While doing so, you also have to avoid emoji bombs that are dropped by bad emojis. You gain points by shooting bad emojis down. If you are hit by a bad emoji's bomb, your score resets to 0. Use the LEFT and RIGHT arrows to move. Use the SPACE bar to fire.

In the first mini-game, you will take on the identity of Mushu, the Antibullyer dragon. Your objective is to fly to the end of the game while scoring as many points as possible. Shoot the bad comments and fly through good comments to gain points. If you fly through bad comments or shoot good comments by mistake, you lose points. Use the UP arrow to move up. Use the SPACE bar to shoot.
