BENETWISE TEAM
THEME: MEDIA LITERACY AND DISINFORMATION The aim of this project is providing students better understanding of Media literacy.It aims to know their digital rights and digital responsibilities as a student.It aims to create a profile of students who knows media literacy .This Project will provide;to explain the basic media literacy processto understand the meaning of digital rights and digital responsibilitiesto recognize the opportunities offered by the media to the individual.to explore opportunities such as access, follow-up, usage, evaluation, production and sharing for information.to recognize the obstacles to access accurate and reliable information.to create different types of media messages suitable for the purpose and target audience.to understand how language, texts, sounds and visuals are used to persuade media messagesto develop the qualifications and skills of using ICT by the project activities

Firsts in MediaInternational Team Work
In this task, BeNetWise members aimed to prepare timelines about the firsts in the media in our countries in terms of newspaper, TV, telephone, internet and social media.
Advertising Posters International Team Work
In this activity: *We discussed,searched, anlaysed and learned about the ethical issues of Advertising World which is considered to be one of the most important and dominant components of Media. **Then, we learned the details of how to prepare effective and attractive advertising posters. ***Finally,the mixed teams planned and prepared advertising posters caring the visual and ethical issues!!! Our aim here was to make teenagers become aware of what they are watching in advertisements, get a general idea of ethical points in advertisements and gain a literacy about advertisements and thus become more conscious consumers.
The Power of Media LanguageBrand Slogan Challenge
BENETWISE wanted to remind powerful advertisement slogans in our countries or in the world. In this activity, we challenged each other by writing famous advertisement slogans. We started with one slogan and the next member wrote another slogan by using one of the words of the previous slogan. The Aims: -To understand how important, effective, and memorable the slogans of brands' commercials are in our life -To make them search for the commercial slogans on media -To make them enjoy the activity by designing it as a challenge game
Fake News
Media can also be a power of some malicious purposes. In our international teams, we discussed, searched and produced to show how fake news affect our lives and how we can prevent it to raise our awareness on the topic. Each team prepared a different product for this aim.

The members thought about this question: How can media be our power? Then, we prepared a presentation in which each student wrote how we can take the advantage of media. BeNetWise Tv News International Team Work
We have learnt the ethical rules in media. We have also learnt how powerful media is. Then, we shooted our news and use media to spread true and ethical news!!! One student from each school came together and prepared a tv news. The Aims: -To practise what has been learnt about ethical, effective news -To learn how to create news -To improve collaboration, communication, creativity, resposibility skills -To learn to use web 2.0 tools -To improve English writing and speaking skills
Media Production, Possible? School Teams
For this activity, we worked with our school teams to create a product on the topic that our school team worked while collecting and analysing news on media. Each team had different tasks. We designed design a poster, brochure, infographic, cartoon, song, poem, magazine, newpaper etc. Our aims were: -to use media in a correct and ethical way - to take the advantage of media to attract attention and raise awareness on social , global issues. - to use Media for the good of Society -to improve collaboration, communication, creativity, searching skills -to improve ICT and English writing skills

Take Action
BENETWISE took the advantage of media and decided to use it for the good of society. We worked on SDGs of UN. We created new mixed teams and chose a SDG and created a social media act to raise awareness on that goal. THE AIMS: -To learn how to use media for the good of society -To take the advantage of media to act for society -To practise it in real life with good purposes -To get aware of the SDGs -To contribute to active citizenship and democratic participation of the young
Expert of the Month
BENETWISE project invited an expert on Media Literacy and Disinformation every month. Therefore, we got really valuable information from the academicians and experts on this teheme and developed professionally.

Worth to SeeSchool Teams
Another usage area of the media is tourism.All kinds of mass media such as television, radio, newspaper, internet sites are used for promotional purposes. We are informed via social media, web sites, posters, brochures etc. In this activity, school teams prepared a product to give information about a touristic attraction in our region/town. The Aims: -To understand the importance of the use of Media in tourism -To realise that media can be used to introduce touristic places to the society -To practise using effective headlines, fonts, colors, and visual rules in the posters -To introduce touristic places of our districts to our partners -To learn how to prepare posters using web 2.0 tools
