This is a GLOBAL ANNOUCEMENT. These are used for school wide annoucements. After you are done viewing the message you can click the X to hide it.

This is a COURSE CARD and how you can enter your classrooms. If it is under "published" students can see it, if it is at the bottom of the page in "unpublished" they cannot.

This is the COURSE NAVIGATION. If you can see the eye symbol with a slash that means students do not see that link in their course navigation. If the symbol is absent, student can see that link in the course navigation.

This is the COURSE STATUS zone. You can publish or unpublish your course. You can also Import course content, choose a homepage and start annoucements here. You can also alter your course settings from here.

You can edit more details about your course in the settings pages. In the next pages we will go deeper into the settings tab to customize your course
On the COURSE DETAILS page you can change the course card, place annoucements on your home page, and create a link so people can join your class--helpful for club and sport classrooms.

Inbox
In Canvas inbox you can send messages to students in your classes. When you message students from the Canvas grade book students receive those messages here. Messages in the Canvas inbox get forwarded to your @pwcs.edu email.
