larger populations, bigger cities, more farming chemicals all threaten the carrying capacity of the Earth; population density can be a measurement for us to gauge how we need to change to be more sustainable
people continue to migrate to cities and increase their densities in the LDCs; these areas are expected to see growth, but also challenges
less developed countries have less technology and weaker economies because they have high agricultural densities; their population works on the farms
areas with less arable land have more imports of food, showing the effectiveness of the global network
cities, however, are areas of very high density and also very high productivity
a common trend in the US is movement to the suburbs, areas that have lower densities
high population densities have health issues if not managed correctly
