Blended learning is a combination of online and instructor lead learning. As we return to our "new normal" and we now all have 1:1 devices in the classroom we can bring blended learning into daily classroom practice. In this module, you will be introduced to strategies for blended learning and revise a module you used this year with those strategies in mind.

Universal Design for Learning has an emphasis on fostering our students to become expert learers. characteristics of expert learers include reflection. Portfolios are a perfect way for students to set their own coals in the learning process and reflect on their learning. In this module, you will create your directions and support materials for using portfolio assessment in your course this year.

In both blended learning and universal design for learning providing student choice and authentic assessment, opportunities are essential. In this module you will be introduced to creative tools and then revise a module using those tools as the care assessment.

Universal Design for Learning is a framework that supports all learners. At its core educators following this framework ensure that their lessons include:

  • Multiple means of engagement
  • Multiple means of representation.
  • Multiple means of action and expression
After exploring the framework you will revise a module from this year with the framework in mind.

In this module, you will explore the different software applications available to you at WSHS. You will then review the common instructional Technology Frameworks (SAMR, TPACK, Triple E), and revise a module you created and used this year with those strategies in mind.
