The objective of the game is to score more goals than the other team by making the whole of the ball pass over the goal line.

COURT OR FIELD

  • It is a rectangular of 40x20 meters:
    • There are two touchline and two goal line. Besides, there is a line which divides the field into two, halfway line.
    • Penalty Area: 6 meters from the goal line.
    • Penalty spot. 6 meters.
    • Second Penalty Spot. 10 meters.

  • The duration of the game: is 2 periods of 20 minutes each, with a break of 10 minutes between periods.
  • Each team consists of five players, one of them being a goalkeeper, and nine substitutes; substitutions during the game are unlimited.

  • If the ball goes out of touchline, it will be put into play with the foot from the touchline. You can´t get goal directly.
  • If the ball goes out of goal line, it will be put into play the foot too. You can get goal directly. It´s a called corner kick or kick-in.

  • The goalkeeper is the only player that can touch the ball with the hands inside the penalty area.

  • A player who commits a fault or any offense (kick, push or charges an opponent, touch the ball with the hand or arm…):
    • Will be penalized by a direct free kick.
    • The defenders can form a wall five meters from the ball.
    • If there is dangerousness or voluntariness, it will carry the yellow or red card implicitly.

  • A penalty kick is when those fouls are made in penalty area.
  • When a team accumulates 5 fouls during a period, the next foul they commit will be a double penalty. It is a free throw without wall from a distance of 10 meters.

  • There are six playing surfaces on the foot: Inside of the foot, outside of the foot, the instep, the toe, the heel and the sole.

  • Passing: kick the ball to send it to a team mate. The most common surface for passing is the inside of the foot, it gives accuracy and control.
  • Receiving: it is when a team mate passes you the ball and you control it. The most common way to stop the ball is using your sole.
  • Moving with the ball: To make the ball roll on the floor by successive kicks with the foot. You can use one or both feet and you combine the different surfaces of the foot to contact the ball.
  • Shooting: is when you kick the ball directly to the goal in order to score. You can use all the surfaces of the foot to shoot.
