Canvas sits at the heart of the learning and teaching delivery model; the learning wheel helps lecturers identify ways of integrating core tools and techniques to augment their Blended Course Delivery Model.

The Learning Wheel

START

The Learning Wheel has been designed as a tool to support lecturers in identifying various digital methods and technologies for augmenting their Learning and Teaching Delivery, of which a large proportion is sat within Moodle (LMS) the colleges learning and teaching platform.

The learning Wheel & Moodle

Moodle sits at the heart of the learning and teaching delivery model. Moodle is where most of the hard work is done by lecturers to produce intuitive courses and immersive learning materials. The learning wheel is designed around digital a pedagogy and helps lecturers identify ways of integrating tools and techniques to augment their online course delivery within Moodle. With the help of the Learning Wheel you can contextualised ‘subject’ specific activities with each aligned to the five modes of engagement: Aqusition, Collaboration, Discussion, Investigation, Practice and Production.

It also depends on how much a piece of information is relevant to the context it refers to and whether it is influenced by how the information is structured.
