According to PETA, there are more than 100 million animals killed due to animal testing in the U.S. annually.

Cons

According to the federal law of US, animal testing is required in order to publish new treatments.

Research evidence states the law of the U.S. that requires non-human research to test treatments. Animals result to be the most similar living organism to human beings and testing animals will be more accurate will not harming humans. With the improvement of science, while making products more secure and accurate, animal testing turns out to be necessary.

Animal testing is cruel for the innocent animals when they don't have a choice while being used to benefit us.

Animal testing is not inhumane as expected, it maximises the benefits for laboratory animals.

Scientists note the limitations of animal testing and include animal care by professionals to the animals after a lab. There are proper environments and nutrition provided to the animals in order to minimize the stress and discomfort of animals.

Regarding animal testing, there are alternative ways to replace animal testing while doing experiments.

There are other ways developed nowadays to replace animal testing which ended up with another solution for scientists. There have been artificial human skin that is nearly the exact same as real skin and is suitable for experiments. It will not be necessary for scientists to use animal testing in such an inhumane way to test out products.

Nowadays, technology haven't developed enough to allow us to experiment without animal testing.

Animal testing continues to be necessary in order to advance discoveries and experiments. As animal testing majority benefits the medical field, it ensures the safeness of life-saving drugs, vaccines, new surgical procedures and better helps the study of diseases.
