Welcome to Granada!!

Granada is the capital city of the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of four rivers, the Darro, the Genil, the Monachil and the Beiro. Ascribed to the Vega de Granada comarca, the city sits at an average elevation of 738 m (2,421 ft) above sea level, yet is only one hour by car from the Mediterranean coast. The first letters are LA.

The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex located in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It was originally constructed as a small fortress in 889 CE on the remains of ancient Roman fortifications, and then largely ignored until its ruins were renovated and rebuilt in the mid-13th century by the Arab Nasrid emir Mohammed ben Al-Ahmar of the Emirate of Granada, who built its current palace and walls. It was converted into a royal palace in 1333 by Yusuf I, Sultan of Granada. After the conclusion of the Christian Reconquista in 1492, the site became the Royal Court of Ferdinand and Isabella (where Christopher Columbus received royal endorsement for his expedition), and the palaces were partially altered in the Renaissance style. In 1526, Charles I of Spain commissioned a new Renaissance palace better befitting the Holy Roman Emperor in the revolutionary Mannerist style influenced by humanist philosophy in direct juxtaposition with the Nasrid Andalusian architecture, but it was ultimately never completed due to Morisco rebellions in Granada.

This is a kind of pudding made with scorpionfish meat, which must be semi-fat and previously cooked in fish stock. The latter is essential, as it serves to remove the poison from the bones.

Simply boil the chorizos, covered in cider, in a casserole dish, to which you also add a couple of bay leaves.

Choose your first meal.

The cachopo consists of two veal fillets between which a ham and cheese filling is placed. It is then breaded together with egg and breadcrumbs and fried. It is often eaten with a side dish of chips, salad, peppers or any other suitable product.

Fabada is undoubtedly the typical Asturian dish par excellence. It is a stew made with "fabes", a variety of large white beans, to which other ingredients such as chorizo, pork and Asturian black pudding are added.

Pitu de Caleya is the name given in the Asturian community to chickens that are fed on natural products found on the farms themselves, such as cereals, seeds, insects and others. This type of feed excludes fodder, and allows the chicken to be larger, reaching up to 6 kilos in weight.

Choose your desert.

It is a very simple recipe, consisting simply of boiling the rice in milk and sugar, then sprinkling it with vanilla, cinnamon or grated lemon peel. It can be served either hot or cold, depending on individual tastes.

This dessert is not only typical of the Asturian region, but also of the province of León and the Cantabrian region. It is made with eggs, milk, flour, yeast, sugar and salt. The resulting dough is later fried in a frying pan.

After eating, we are visiting the Covadonga Lakes.

The Lakes of Covadonga (el. 1134 m.) are composed of two glacial lakes located in the region of Asturias. These lakes, often also called Lakes of Enol or simply Los Lagos, are Lake Enol and Lake Ercina located in the Picos de Europa range and they are the original centre of the Picos de Europa National Park, created in 1918. They are near Covadonga Sanctuary.

In this museum, there are several art expositions but these ones are permanently outside. You can visit them whenever you want! Maman, almost 9 metres high, is one of Louise Bourgeois's most ambitious sculptures. The spider provokes awe and fear but its great height, surprisingly balanced on light legs, conveys an almost touching vulnerability. Puppy, majestic and robust as he stands guard at the gates of the Museum, fills viewers with admiration and joy. The letters are SA.

I've got a meeting with some friends in a bit. You can come with me if you wish. If not, that's okay: you can go see the castles!

Look at all that stored wine! The man says it's been stored here for months. This process is called fermentation, which has the main effect of converting the sugars in the must into ethyl alcohol. Fermentation requires various nutrients that are naturally included in the initial must, and depending on the phase, one or the other is necessary. Oh look, the man wants to tell us something!

Welcome to Ciudad Real, the province of the mills! Mills have been around for centuries to generate energy and produce food. However, they're well known in Spain because of the book El Quijote, by Cervantes. Why don't we go ask the actual Quijote what they're famous for? PS: You need to look for a spot in here
