The Clock tower in Prilep is a monument of culture built in the period 1825/1826 year by Said Aga .The tower is 40 m high and with the cone tip reaches 55 m. It was built by the famous mason from Prilep, Pero Lauc and later renovated in 1836/37 and 1896/97.In the meantime, the clock has been set in 1858.In the lower part, on the opposite side of the entrance, there is a fountain. Above the front door is an inscription in Arabic script, saying: ” The striking of the clock is not always marking time. For the life and the time that passes, the clock grieves and says … ”

Der Glockenturm in Prilep ist ein Kulturdenkmal, das in dem Zeitraum von 1825 bzw. 1826 von Said Aga erbaut wurde. Der Turm ist 40 m hoch und hat eine Kegelspitze von 55 m. Er wurde vom berühmten Maurer aus Prilep, Pero Lauc, erbaut und später zwischen 1836/37 und 1896/97 renoviert. In der Zwischenzeit wurde die Uhr 1858 eingestellt. Im unteren Teil auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Eingangs befindet sich ein Brunnen. Über der Eingangstür befindet sich ein Schild, auf dem folgendes auf Arabisch geschrieben wurde und zwar: "Das Schlagen der Uhr bezeichnet nicht immer die Zeit. Für das Leben und die Zeit, die vergeht, trauert die Uhr und sagt: Ahhhh"

St. Archangel Michael

In Prilep city in the Varosh neighborhood the monastery dedicated to St. Archangel Michael is located with one of the most beautiful monastery inns in Macedonia. The monastery complex of St. Michael the Archangel is built between rocks on the southwest side of Marko's Towers .The original church was a single-nave church from XII century dedicated to St. Nicholas. The monastery shelters were built in 1861. The portraits of King Marko and his Father Volkasin are painted left and right of the entrance to the church on the west facade . In the porch of the church there are preserved three ancient monolithic pillars .On one of them there is a tombstone inscription of Bishop Andrew of 996, which is the second oldest recording with old Slavic Cyrillic letters.

In Prilep City im Stadtteil Varosh befindet sich das dem heiligen Erzengel Michael geweihte Kloster mit einem der schönsten Klostergasthöfe Mazedoniens. Der Klosterkomplex von St. Michael der Erzengel ist zwischen Felsen auf der Südwestseite von Markos Türmen gebaut .Die ursprüngliche Kirche war eine einschiffige Kirche aus dem XII Jahrhundert, die dem heiligen Nikolaus gewidmet war. Das Kloster Unterstände wurden 1861 erbaut. Die Porträts von König Marko und seinem Vater Volkasin sind links und rechts vom Eingang zur Kirche an der Westfassade gemalt . In der Veranda der Kirche sind drei alte monolithische Säulen erhalten .Auf einem von ihnen befindet sich eine Grabsteininschrift von Bischof Andreas von 996, die zweitälteste Aufnahme mit altslawischen kyrillischen Buchstaben.

THE OLD BAZZAR

There are many hand crafts and a beautiful old bazaar in the middle of the town that people most frequently visit on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Shoe making, pottery and jewelry making are the most common occupations. The city of Prilep or King Marko’s city has many landmarks that can be proud of. One of those landmarks is the Old Bazaar . Previously, the Bazaar was called Prilep market and here, people traded with various goods and food products. Also great importance in the Prilep market had shops from which villagers bought supplies for longer period of time like food and other necessary items.

ALTER BAZAAR In unserer Stadt gibt es viele Handarbeiten und einen alten schönen Basar mitten in der Stadt, den die Menschen lieben. Schuhherstellung, Töpferei und Schmuckherstellung sind die häufigsten Berufe. Die Stadt Prilep oder die Stadt des Königs Marko hat viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, auf die man stolz sein kann. Eine dieser Sehenswürdigkeiten ist der Alte Basar. Der Basar hat sich seit der Gründung der Stadt entwickelt, aber früher hieß der Basar Prilep-Basar, und auf diesem Markt handelten die Menschen mit verschiedenen Waren und Lebensmitteln. Auf dem Prilep-Markt waren auch die Geschäfte von großer Bedeutung, in denen die Dorfbewohner über einen langen Zeitraum Materialien wie Lebensmittel und andere notwendige Gegenstände kauften.

MARBEL LAKE

For those of you who enjoy offroad experiences and try to have them on a budget, Macedonia is a dream come true . A small lake with turquoise color, located in an abandoned marble mine above the village Belovodica is a real attractive destination for cooling a number of people, especially young. Because of the landscape around the lake, along with the massive marble blocks which truly is a unique sight, this lake receives the name Prilep Pamukkale lake or Marble lake. The lake is about 100 meters wide and 40 meters deep. The Lake can be reached on the regional Prilep - Skopje road, on the mountain pass Pletvar, when going to the village Belovodica.

STADIUM

The Goce Delčev Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Prilep, Macedonia. It is named after the Macedonian revolutionary Goce Delčev. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FC Pobeda and FC11 Oktomvri. The stadium has been used as an alternative home ground of the Toše Proeski Arena for the Macedonia national football team and has hosted the Macedonian Cup final on two occasions.

"SARMA" “Sarma” is another specialty that should also be tasted .It is made from minced beef ,cabbage and spices.

Prileps Ajvar ist auf der ganzen Welt bekannt und sehr lecker, da der Pfeffer in Mazedonien hergestellt wird. Er besteht aus gebackenen, gehackten roten Paprikaschoten, die in Öl gebraten werden.

Pogaca ist eine Brotsorte in Form eines Kreises aus Maismehl. Eier und Milch können ebenfalls hinzugefügt werden.

"Sarma" ist eine Spezialität, die auch probiert werden sollte. Es wird aus Hackfleisch, Kohl und Gewürzen hergestellt.

"Shirden" ist ein traditionelles Gericht aus Prilep und es ist weithin bekannt. Leute aus anderen Städten kommen nach Prilep, um es zu kösten.
