How can you help clean the ocean? Organize beach, river bank or land cleanups (you might also be able to find Facebook groups for established initiatives in your area) Reduce your use of disposable plastics (use a reusable water bottle, use a reusable grocery bag, get into some 'do it yourself projects' to reduce packaging, etc.) Always favor recycling and never leave your trash anywhere else than a trash can. Why should we clean the ocean? The air we breathe: The ocean produces over half of the world's oxygen and absorbs 50 times more carbon dioxide than our atmosphere. Climate regulation: Covering 70 percent of the Earth's surface, the ocean transports heat from the equator to the poles, regulating our climate and weather patterns.
Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans, of which the majority spills out from rivers. A portion of this plastic travels to ocean garbage patches, getting caught in a vortex of circulating currents. If no action is taken, the plastic will increasingly impact our ecosystems, health, and economies.

There are very many recycling bins in our neighborhood
We recycle at home.
We save excess food, so that later we can compost it.
We always export biowaste to our composter
Our lights are led-lights, and they doesn’t use much energy. They save energy. And we always put our lights out when we dont need light.
