99,5% of the municipal waste we receive is utilized as material, energy or in other ways.

Oulu has Rusko Waste Center, which is a carbon-neutral economy center. At the Rusko waste center, a microturbine plant with which we produce the electricity and heat needed by the waste center from biogas. We also supply biogas to industry and as a transport fuel.
