Stockholm, September 8, 1989-Muscat, April 20, 2018 Tim Bergling , known professionally as Avicii was a Swedish DJ, remixer, record producer, musician and songwriter. He reached the fame with Levels but his most popular songs were “Hey Brother”, “Wake me up”, “The Nights” and “Waiting for love”. In 2016, Bergling's health deteriorated caused by excessive alcohol use, and he retired from performing live. In 2018, TMZ later reported that he committed suicide using a glass shard to cut himself. On 26 March 2019, Bergling's family launched a mental illness and suicide prevention foundation, named after the late DJ, the Tim Bergling Foundation.
