Plot

Tom Sawyer is an imaginative boy who lives with his half brother and his aunt Polly. Tom became a friend of Huck and they go to a cemetery with a dead cat so they see Dr.Robinson, Injun Joe and Muff Potter, there they started to figth and Injun Joe kill Dr.Robinson and blames Muff Potter. The kids decided not to talk about it but when Muff Potter went to prison, Tom talked about what really happenedSome time later they went to an island to become pirates and their family thougth that they had died and celebrated their funeral. Finally they came back to town and they appeared in their own funerals.

Muff Potter has some proofs and Tom testifies again. Next summer Tom and Huck go hunting for buried treasures in a haunted house but Injun Joe and his partner find a buried box of gold so when they see the tools of Tom and Huck that were made suspicious in case someone knew about their hiding place. Besides all this Tom went to a picnic with Becky, the girl he is in love with, and they went to a cave where they got lost and although their friends try to rescue them they cannot but finally after a few days Tom manages to find the way out.Tom heard the voices of Injun Joe but he didn´t said nothing to Becky but one week later Tom and Huck go to the cave and they find a box of gold.Finally Huck was adoptted by the Willow Douglas and he try to escape but Tom promises him if he stayed he would participate in him robber band.

He was an American writer, humorist, entrepreneur, publisher, and lecturer. He served an apprenticeship with a printer and then worked as a typesetter, contributing articles to the newspaper of his older brother Orion Clemens. Twain was born shortly after an appearance of Halley's Comet, and he said that he would "go out with it" and he died the day after the comet returned.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer it´s a wonderful book since I identify with some of its characters and I like the environment in which it takes place and the variety of topics makes it not boring and you want to read more.I like Tom because is a child without rules, with no other desire than to live his freedom in a world that he discovers has its rules. Twain's humor helps laugh out loud throughout the book.I recommend this novel since it will be enjoyed by both a child and an adult
