Geographical Features
Iceberg: a very large mass of ice that floats in the sea.
Mountain: a raised part of the earth´s surface, much larger than a hill
Forest: a large area of land covered with trees and plants
Volcano: a mountain with a large, circular hole at the top through which lava
Bay: a part of the coast where the land curves in so that the sea is surrounded by land on three sides
Sea: large area of salty water, smaller than an ocean
Lake: a large area of water surrounded by land
Hill: an area of land that is higher than the surrounding land
Waterfall: water, dropping from a higher to a lower point.
Cave: a large hole in the side of a hill, cliff, or mountain, or one that is underground
River: a natural wide flow of fresh water across the land into the sea, a lake, or another rive
Canyon: a large valley with very steep sides and usually a river flowing along the bottom
Cliff: a high area of rock with a very steep side, often on a coast
Coast: the land next to or close to the sea
Beach: an area of sand or small stones near the sea
Swamp: an area of very wet and soft land
Island: a piece of land completely surrounded by water
Rainforest / Jungle: a tropical forest in which trees and plants grow very closely together
Archipielago: group of small islands.
Valley: an area of low land between hills or mountains
Lagoon: an area of sea water separated from the sea by a reef
