Test the compressor windings resistance across terminals U, V and W
Disconnect the 3 wires from the front of the compressor and make them safe in terminal block

To check the compressor windings resistance to earth, carry out an insulation resistance test at 500vThe resistance must be greater than 2 MegOhmsAny reading less than 2 MegOhms would be considered down to earth and a failed compressor
