What is a Linking verb?It links a subject to a noun or an adjective that names or describes it. A linking verb does not show action. A linkibg verb tells what the subject is. Some linking verbs are forms of the verb be.
Common linking verbs: am – is – are – was – were Other common linking verbs: seem – feel – become – appear – look – sound – smell – taste Sentence Example: I am nine years old. linking verb Answer: am Instructions: Recognize the linking verb in the sentence.
