Our school is called Roc Llop Convalia and it is situated in Miravet.This school was built in 1999. It is called Roc Llop Convalia because this man was a teacher and a poet from Miravet, our town.In our school thre are:- 4 classes- 1 computer's room- 1 multi disciplinary room- 1 library- 1 headmaster's room- 5 toilets- a very big playground

In our school we celebrate Halloween in October 31st. All the students dress up and we do a contest in which there are three winners.

Castanyada at school is celebrated by eating chestnuts and panellets.

Christmas at our school, is celebrated before Christmas holidays. We sing and dance Christmas songs and carols.

Easter IN our school is celebrated in March or April. We make a "Mona" and we look for chocolate eggs hidden in the playground.

The last day of the course at our school is the 23rd of June, and everybody dance some songs. After this festival we start our summer holidays.

PAS DE BARCA

Pas de barca is very important.

With the river movement you can get to the other part.

THE OLD CHURCH

The old church was the first one in Miravet. Although nowadays it is not used, we open it one time each year.

The town hall

It is the most important place in town. It is situated in the middle of the town. Inside the town hall works the Mayor of the town.

ARENAL SQUARE

In Arenal square is where we celebrate the majority of festivals. We dance and celebrate parties.

FESTIVALS

Cherry party

In our town we celebrate a cherryes festivity the 10th June during all day since 1996.

La cameta coixa

Cameta coixa is a mountain race in which a lot of people participate.This race is on Saturday 10th March.There are activities during the whole day.

ANNUAL FESTIVALS

The main festival is in honor of Mare de Déu del Pilar.

SANT DOMINGO FESTIVAL

Sant Domingo, patron Saint of potters, is a weekend in which we do different activities in our town.

MUSIC AND DANCE

JOTA

Miravet's jota is a traditonal dance that takes place on the 2nd of August.

SARDANA

In all Catalonia our typhical dance is called Sardana.

HABANERAS

The habaneras is a typical music of Catalonia. Some groups come to sing to Miravet in our festivals.

MIRAROCK

Mirarock is celebrated in Miravet's castle at 23:00hours in September. Different rock groups come to play their songs.

Our religions

The Christian religion is the religion of God JESUS. The majority of people believe in this religion.We go to the church on Sundays. These pictures are the churches we have got in Miravet.

This is the Islamic religion. The religion of God ALLAH. In class we are some students who believe in this religion since we are from Morocco and Pakistan.

In the Islamic religion we pray every day and five times per day.
