Emmeline Pankhurst- speech "Freedom or death"
Emmeline Pankhurst-British social activist, one of the founders of the British suffragette movement, the most important English activist for granting women the right to vote before World War I. In 1889, Pankhurst founded the Women's Franchise League - the League for Women's Electoral Rights. Later, in 1903, she co-founded the much better known Women's Social and Political Union.
