The problems

3) A village in Perù.

2) Gopal Jee, from India.

1) William Kamkwamba, from Malawi.

Thanks to the Goal project we have learnt about renewable energies (solar, wind and water energy) and how important it is to use them more and more in order to save our planet. looking around the world we've focused on 3 stories about people that helped their villages, and also the planet, by creating new ways of producing clean energy:

The solutions

INSTALL SOLAR PANELS

TURN OFF THE LIGHT WHEN YOU DON'T USE IT

TURN OFF THE HEATING SYSTEM WHEN YOU'RE NOT AT HOME

UNPLUG ALL THE THINGS WE CAN

USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND BIKES

SPEND LESS TIME IN THE SHOWER

HOW TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

6 things about

linked to other GOALS

Goal 3:good health is synonymous with well-being. we fight disease with good results. infant mortality has decreased and lifespan has been considerably lengthened. Unfortunately, not everyone has access to the medical care they need. By taking preventive measures and promoting the well-being of all, we can keep the world's well-being in balance.

Goal 1: In the world there is energy poverty, in fact for families in developing countries it is impossible to access the basic energy services to ensure a decent standard of living such as heating, cooling, lighting and gas for cooking. Millions of people in the world still do not have access to electricity and this prevents development.

Goal 4:Education is the key to prosperity and opens a world of opportunities, making it possible for each of us to contribute to a progressive, healthy society. But in developing countries the lack of of energy prevents schools from having electric lights, computers, printers....

Goal 13: Mitigation and adaptation to climate change are key challenges of the 21st century. Underlying these challenges is the question of energy or, more precisely, our overall energy consumption and our dependence on fossil fuels.

How Energy is

We pledge we will:

1. Write a letter to the local council to be informed of all green policies and initiatives in our area2. Set up an Information Point at the next school assembly to inform about Goal n. 73. Put up posters round the school with our own infographic showing how EVERYONE can save energy EVERYDAY !

Let's take Action!
