Characters tell us how they look like; actions, behaviors, and interactions with others.

Characters

A setting describes what can happen in a story. It helps to understand the actions, feelings, and places where the characters are.

A plot is a sequence of events that make up a story. It's divided into many parts:

story plot

It's the introduction to a story. It includes main characters, setting, mood, and time.

Exposition of the problem

beginning

Rising action to climax

IThe conflict drives the plot of the story to a rising action. The rising action shows events to develop characters, and it creates suspense. It leads to a climax.

Conflict

It's the most exciting point of the story. It's the point of highest tension or drama.

CLIMAX

The resolution completes the story. The end can leave questions, answers, frustration, or satisfaction

Falling action and ending

The falling action is everything that happens as a result of the climax. It leads to a resolution.

The camera acts almost as a ‘narrator’, Different types of shots and angles are used for different purposes.

COMPOSITION

Lightning:Lights create a visual mood and atmosphere depending on source, intensity, and type

Colors:They set the mood of the film. Colors give information about the characters.

Objects on frame: Props, dress, hairstyle, and set design play important roles on films.

Sound in films includes music scores, dialogue, sound effects, noises, and soundtracks.

The film editor’s job is to join together the various shots into scenes, and the scenes into a finished movie.
