Dual Credit US History

In AP U.S. History, students investigate significant events, individuals, developments, aanprocesses in nine historical periods from approximately 1491 to the present. Students develop and use the same skills and methods employed by historians: analyzing primary and secondary sources; developing historical arguments; making historical connections; and utilizing reasoning about comparison, causation, and continuity and change. The course also provides eight themes that students explore throughout the course in order to mak connections among historical developments in different times and places.

Dual Credit US History is a course that is taught either by a JJ Pearce teacher certificed or a College Professor that is monitored by a JJ PEarce teacher. It covers United States Hisotyr in a college setting that earns credit for both high school and 3 hr towards a college degree.

Dual enrollment course with The University of Texas as Austin. Covers US History from 1607 to the present. No textbook; primary and secondary writings are used instead, so the readings are focused on content. Students can earn three (3) credit hours for each semester with a minimum grade of 60 (D‐). Transfers to all state‐ supported colleges and universities, by law. Transcripted as U.T. credit
