An archipelago is a group of islands. Spain has two archipelagos, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands.

There are 17 autonomous communities in Spain.Each autonomous community has a capital, a flag, a coat of arms, and an anthem.

The Mediterranean Sea, gives Spain its eastern and south- eastern coasts. The northern coast is with the Cantabrian Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean is the western and south-western coasts.

Rivers and their watershed

The Duero, the tajo, the guadiana, miño, and the Guadalquivir River flow into the Atlantic Ocean. The Ebro flows into the Mediterranean Sea.

There are two groups of mountains on the Meseta Central: the Sistema Central and the Montes de Toledo.

The Meseta Central is the area of land in the centre of Spain . It's a plateau.

Mountains that are around the Meseta Central are the Cordillera Cantabrica, the Sistema Iberico, and the Sierra Morena.
