Our Goal!
Objective 11 seeks to: By 2030
- Ensure everyone has access to adequate, safe, affordable housing and basic services, and upgrade slums.
- Provide safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable transportation systems for all, improve road safety.
- Strengthen efforts to protect and preserve the world's cultural and natural heritage.
- Significant reduction in the number of deaths and the number of those affected by natural disasters.
- Providing universal access to safe, inclusive and accessible green and public spaces, in particular for women and children, the elderly and the disabled.
- Support for less developed countries, through financial and technical assistance, for the construction of sustainable and durable buildings using local materials.
The 10 most sustainable cities in the world
Some cities around the world are extremely sustainable, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) Global Reporting 2017. For the ranking result, the EIU evaluated 140 cities based on 30 factors in five categories: Stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.
