An optimistic young hero without cape

In May of 2016 when Mari was 8 years old she wrote a letter to the president of USA,Barrack Obama,to challenge him to visit and see the water crisis in her land Flint situated in Michigan

That's a comparison between Flint water and Detroit water.We can see the dirtiest water is Flint water.

An unexpected answer

Because of her fact Obama spend one hundred million to repear the water crisis.

The answer of Barrack Obama was "letters from children like you are what makes me optimistic about the future so i gonna come in Flint". Barrack Obama came the fourth May to visit the unsafe water supply and fourth month later the visit led to the emergency of states and raised awareness across the country about the quality of water.

A liar aspresident

It's in 2016 during his campaign Donald Trump made a promise to her and the residents of Flint, he said he was going to fix the water crises.And the thirteenth April 2017 Mari was speaking ,in the Stand up to Trump ,about the promise he didn't respect.

We can see a big difference between the face of Mari when she was with Trump and when she was with Barrack Obama.

A perpetual fight

In 2018 Mary is corparating withPack Your Back a voluntary association created by student in 2016. They did a crowfunding to raise money to buy bottles of water for the Flint people.They collected nearly 50 000 $ in one month,enough to buy 200 000 bottles of water.

Copeny's actions earned her the nickname of Little Miss Flint invented after she's win in the beauty contest in 2015Even today, Mari fights to get clean water for her city.

Others good deeds

She also make a campaign in 2018 to give the opportunity for one hundred underprivileged children to see the movie Black Panther.She raised 10 000$ for them.

In addition to she's efforts to resolve the Flint health crisis and get safe drinking water, Copeny is involved in other causes.
