What are the influences/effects of Climate Change on Air/atmosphere?

Most air pollution comes from energy use and production and burning fossil fuels releases gases and chemicals into the air. Air pollution in the form of carbon dioxide and methane raises the earth’s temperature. Another type of air pollution is then worsened by that increased heat: Smog forms when the weather is warmer and there’s more ultraviolet radiation. Pollution enters the Earth's atmosphere in many different ways. Most air pollution is created by people, taking the form of emissions from factories, cars, planes, or aerosol cans. Second-hand cigarette smoke is also considered air pollution. These man-made sources of pollution are called anthropogenic sources.

There is no denying that vehicle pollution is the major contributor to air pollution, especially in urban cities. When the car burns gasoline, it emits pollutants in the air which is as harmful as smoking 10 cigarettes a day. Your vehicle emits carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxide, and particulate matter. When the vehicle pollution is high in the atmosphere, it creates a hole in the ozone layer contributing to smog and causing various health issues.

People experience a wide range of health effects from being exposed to air pollution. Effects can be broken down into short-term effects and long-term effects. Short-term effects, which are temporary, include illnesses such as pneumonia or bronchitis. They also include discomfort such as irritation to the nose, throat, eyes, or skin.

Air pollution can also cause headaches, dizziness, and nausea. Bad smells made by factories, garbage, or sewer systems are considered air pollution, too. These odors are less serious but still unpleasant. Long-term effects of air pollution can last for years

or for an entire lifetime. They can even lead to a per, son's death. Long-term health effects from air pollution include heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory diseases such as emphysema

Air pollution can also cause long-term damage to people's nerves, brain, kidneys, liver, and other organs. Some scientists suspect air pollutants cause birth defects. Nearly 2.5 million people die worldwide each year from the effects of outdoor or indoor air pollution.

Its effects for green...

Global warming is an environmental phenomenon caused by natural and anthropogenic air pollution. It refers to rising air and ocean temperatures around the world. This temperature rise is at least partially caused by an increase in the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases trap heat energy in the Earth’s atmosphere.

What are the potential solutions?

1. Renewable fuel and clean energy production: The most basic solution for air pollution is to move away from fossil fuels, replacing them with alternative energies like solar, wind and geothermal. 2. Energy conservation and efficiency: Producing clean energy is crucial. But equally important is to reduce our consumption of energy by adopting responsible habits and using more efficient devices.

3. Eco-friendly transportation: Changing to electric vehicles and hydrogen vehicles, and promoting shared mobility (i.e carpooling, and public transports) could reduce air pollution. 4. More greens: From planning to demolition, the green building aims to create environmentally responsible and resource-efficient structures to reduce their carbon footprint.

How Can We Slow Down Global Warming?

The main reason for Global Warming is energy production. So if we use less we can slow down Global Warming. Here are some things we can do.

1-We should reduce flying with planes. Because many planes use JetA1 fuel and they burn it in a very short time. For example, Boeing 737-400 uses less fuel than many other planes and it burns 1,2 litres of JetA1 in only 1 second.2- We should eat less milk and milk products. If we don’t, farmers will need more space to grow animals. By the way, they will cut more trees, they will use more fertilizer and animals will produce more greenhouse gas.3-You can insulate your home. In 2022 the world will consume 4 trillion cubic meter gas. If you insulate your home you can save your energy by using 40%.4-Use more public transportation than using your car. It will save 170g-200g of carbon dioxide for every kilometre. 5-Prepare online job meetings more than face to face ones. By this way, we will save too much energy. 6-Using less hot water is another thing we can do because warming water uses too much energy. You can reduce your water use with better shower heads which use less water. It will save 175kg of carbon dioxide. 7-Changing normal lanes with led ones save 75kg of carbon dioxide per year.

Air pollution is a mixture of natural and artificial substances in the air you breathe. It is usually separated into two categories: air pollution and indoor air pollution. Air pollution is a major cause of illness and premature death and poses the greatest risk to environmental health. Heart disease and stroke are the most common causes of premature death attributed to air pollution, followed by lung disease and lung cancer. From the smog felt in cities to the polluted air inside the house (from cooking, electric heating, lighting), air pollution is a major threat to health and climate. Combined, air pollution (outdoor) and indoor air pollution kill approximately 7 million people worldwide each year. Over 80% of people living in urban areas where air pollution is monitored are exposed to pollution levels that exceed the WHO guidelines, which are set for each type of pollutant.
