Neighbourhood Watchby Matthew Patenall & Gill PatenallActor Adam Cross Director Alexandre MurtinheiraHave you ever been in a situation where you think you've seen someone you know doing something wrong... and you don't quite know what to do about it?James often goes for runs around his hometown. One day while running, he notices his neighbour Tom (who he is on good terms with) meeting a young yobbish looking guy, who James knows to be a drug user. Tom hands him a package and in return the guy puts something in his hand. James suspects that his neighbour is supplying drugs. He decides to undertake his own investigation and, if this turns out to be true, report him to the police. This decision will have disastrous consequences for both of them.

Gin Sisters by Cathy Jansen-RidingsActor Belinda McGuirk Director Arden RidingsYvonne is preparing for her daughter Emily’s wedding. She wants the big day to be special because she knows her divorce from Emily’s dad, six years before, was tough on both her children.Yvonne has moved on and is fine with him bringing Carrie, the young tennis instructor he left her for during a Mark Warner holiday in Sardinia. Then she discovers he’s finished with Carrie and his new partner is Lisa, Yvonne’s best friend.‘You lose husbands. Half of the book group are divorced, but losing a best friend - that should be illegal.’

Just Imagineby Sara ChernaikActor Anthony Nyagah Director Lou SteinOne afternoon when I was six, I realised I was me and would be me forever - and what a strange thought that was - until that moment I thought I could turn into anybody else whenever I wanted to, and I was only me because I hadn’t wanted to be somebody else yet. This strange body of mine that I thought I’d only stepped into to try it out, was mine forever, was me forever.Come, step into the space between where anything is possibleSit for a moment, listen to a storySit with me for a moment, listen to my storyListen to the stories that made me, the magical words I found that made sense of the world.

The State of the Artist by Sebastian RossActorDaryl Bullock Director Sabina BissettI remember in GCSE art my teacher told me that red represented love, passion, and lust. It was a seductive colour. The colour of love. I understood that. Love hearts are red. When you blush your cheeks turn red and on Valentine’s Day at my coffee shop, we handed out free chocolates wrapped in red foil, shaped like hearts of course. So that was my mind-set. Red equals love. But red is also symbolic of war, anger, violence! Blood is red, people see red when they are angry. Burning buildings are red! When I did my painting, why did I use red? Was I trying to represent the passion and ecstasy of love, or the horror and violence of war? Neither. I spilled the blue paint I wanted to use so I only had red left to do the outside bits. That’s all. That’s why.

Come Closer by Rebecca HardyActorJulie Wood Director Ashley DriverFifty-two-year-old mother of two Lisa has been a fan of ‘The Creeps’ lead singer Howard for years and has come to hang around outside a stage door in the hope that the two of them meet. In her hand she is holding a CD and in the other her smart phone, which she looks at regularly, to check his itinerary and the other many details shared online by Howie’s fan base.Lisa is a part-time hospital administrator by day - by night she is part of the semi-stalking fraternity and devotes much of her time to tracking her star’s every move. She is here for the final time – one last shot before she is going Cold Turkey and she will no longer ‘stalk’ Howard again. Besides, she is not really a stalker – is she?

Whatever Happened to Abigail Winters by Sophie WhiteActor Anna Constantinides Director Elia CriscuoliAbigail Winters is a 17-year-old girl who feels invisible to the world. So she decides to change that by filming a self-taped audition for an upcoming TV drama. It’s an open audition, and Abigail has no acting experience. She is nervous, but soon opens up a bit more and reveals that she doesn’t have many friends, struggles academically and spends very little time with her family - she lives with her mother, who works two demanding jobs, and her three-year-old sister Madison.Abigail is tired of being ignored and wants nothing more than to be seen. Abigail dreams of being famous.

The Sleep Stealers by Hannah SmithActor Lucy-Mae Beacock Director Malita BrookeWhenever my neighbour, Juno, can’t sleep, she blames the fairies. She says the truth is, fairies are not fair, they are rarely kind, and they certainly don’t waste their time granting wishes.Juno says that fairies are like doorstep money lenders. If you find yourself in debt to a fairy, you have to give them whatever it is they’ve asked for, by whatever deadline they give you. If you don’t, well, you just have to accept the consequences. With a doorstep money lender, the consequences might be that the bailiffs will break down your door and take all your stuff away; but according to Juno, what the fairies do is even worse. The fairies steal your sleep.Judging by the look of most of the people on this estate, the fairies steal a lot of sleep around here.

Metamorphosis by Lucy DobsonActorCathyJansen-Ridings Director Peter DowseJoy has spent her whole life being there for other people and wonders if she was ever there for herself. She’s changed throughout her life to fit in and always accommodate other people. She rages at her past – how she’s played the game, changed into the shapes required by society and her family, but it was either never enough or taken for granted. But not anymore! This is Joy’s chance to grab life, before it grabs her. She wants to be reckless, to travel, to take a lover, to be wholly and utterly inappropriate. She wants to shock her dead parents, embarrass her daughter, go to a nudist beach, ride a motorbike across Russia, go to circus school, skydive, become a dominatrix – ‘I’d be really good at it I reckon!’- get a tattoo, do all the bad things, drink, get drunk for a week... no, a month!Feel something more than…THIS!
