"

Do not consider me now as an elegant female intending to plague you, but as a rational creature speaking the truth from her heart.

Jane Austen

Was an English novelist known for her six novels, which interpret, critique and comment upon the British nobility at the end of the 18th century. Austen's plots often explore the dependence of women on marriage in the search of favourable social standing and economic security. Her works critique the novels of sensibility of the second half of the 18th century and are part of the transition to 19th-century literary realism. Her use of irony, along with her realism, humour, and social commentary, have long earned her acclaim among critics, scholars, and popular audiences alike.

As a good writer, she had a book that inspired her and made her love for the literature bigger, so, in my view, she would have included these book in her time capsule because is so important for the writers to find the inspiration and this book gave it to her that, and is really important for a person to found a book that makes you escape from the real world and this book did it, as a result, I think, that she would have a special affection.

What would put in a time capsule the writter Jane Austen?

Years after her death, they founded a notebook where Jane Austen wrote, at an early age, stories that never were published; therefore I consider that she would like that people read what she couldn't publish in her time.

Emma was her first published book, where the protagonist considered herself a free and independent woman, and dared to say things that at that time were considered shameless since she was a woman. Her books were not famous and were criticized for the society in her time, as a result, they didn't consider Jane Austen a good writer, so I guess that she would put her first book because she didn't want that her story fell into oblivion and, I suppose, she would hope that her book would be valued and accepted in later years because in her time they didn't accept it.
