Atom Project Final Due Date: December 14th Task: You will be creating a 2 dimensional atom model on the element of your choice. You will also be researching certain aspects of your element. This will be all be presented in your Flipgrid. For the visual: 10 points Please gather roundish objects of different colors and sizes, to represent the protons, neutrons and electrons (smallest). These items need to be distinguishable from each other (different in size, shape, color, etc.). The more creative, the better! In your Flipgrid, you will display the model that you have created. You will have 3 minutes to tell us about your model and the information you have learned about your element. Presentation: 10 points Your presentation should include these 4 parts. The bulleted statements are ideas to help you get started.
- Introduce the element and give information for the Periodic Table of Elements
- Atomic Number, Atomic mass, amount of protons, neutrons and electrons
- Provide information about the history of the element.
- Name of person who discovered the atom
- When it was invented?
- How the element was named?
- Properties of the element (physical and chemical) Include information from the periodic table of elements.
- Is it a metal or non-metal?
- Is it reactive?
- What is its natural state?
- Boiling and Freezing point
- Any other interesting facts
- Common uses for the element and the conclusion.
