“Al Meryeihana” Game

A strong rope is tied to a tree branch. Two girls sit on two facing ropes and two other girls push them to make them swing. It can be played by one girl on her own too.

A group game played by boys or girls. One of the children is blindfolded to block his or her vision, then he or she must try to catch one of the other children who all avoid him. The whole group makes sounds to confuse the catcher. When the blind child catches one of the other players, it is that child’s turn to be blindfolded and the game is repeated.

“Al Ghomaidah” Game

Teela refers to a small glass ball, similar to a marble. It is one of the most popular Emirati traditional games for boys and is considered one of the most collective. The first player stands on the line and throws the teela. Then another player stands on the line and throws his teela. If his opponent's teela is far away, he throws his ball to the nearest hole. Ifit lands inside, he then tries to hit his opponent's teela, and if successful takes his opponent's ball.
