WHAT IS IT?
¿ QUÉ ES?
It is a change in the pattern of water, and related to changes in oceans, land surfaces and ice sheets, occurring over short time or longer.
HOW AND WHO DOES IT PRODUCE?
¿CÓMO Y QUIÉN LO PRODUCE?
The climate change: it occurs when a harmful substance or energy is emitted into Earth's atmosphere. Although some contamination occurs naturally, human activity is responsible for a large aumont of atmospheric pollution.
Industrial and human activity release sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere. The wind carries them to other areas. The sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides react with water and oxygen to form sulphuric and nitric acids.
This clorine molecules from CFC gases rise up as far as the stratosphere , where they are broken up and release chlorine atoms, wich destroy ozone molecules.

THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT
The burning of forests, industrial activity and the use of vehicles all release gases, which worsen the greenhouse effect.
RESULT: When the acids falls, it increases the acidity of soil and water. Acid rain can lead to the thinning of the ozone layer and increase greenhouse gases.
RESULT:This means more ultraviolet radiation reaches Earth's surface.UV rays can damage eyes, cause skin cancer and reduceplanktonpopulations.
RESULT:If more CO2 is retained due to pollution, this causeseven more heat to be held in the atmosphere, leading a rise in Earth's temperature, known as global warming.
RESULT:Acid rain can lead to the thinning of the ozone layerand increase greenhouse gases.
Extreme weather events
Are causing coastal flooding and some islands and coastal regions to become submerged.
Droughts and heatwaves
Rising sea levels
Noise and light pollution
Are causing many areas to be destroyed and to be uninhabitable for both humans and wildlife.
Are causing damage to large rural and urban areas and leading to habitat destruction in many areas.
Can damage psychological health.
Can cause respiratory problems.
Caused by the thinning of the ozone layer can increase the risk of getting skin cancer.
HOW CAN WE FIX IT?
¿CÓMO PODEMOS ARREGLARLO?
Escribe un subtítulo
Things we can do in our daily lives:classifing and recycling waste materials, saving energy, buying sustainable products and locally-produced goods, reducing our meat consumption, walking, cycling or taking transport instead of travelling by car.
When a group of people work together to fight pollution. Governments and institutions can promote action through international agreements and campaigns for social responsivility directed at the largest polluters.
