The authority through the Ministry of Health has defined rules and guidelines so that businesses can reopen operations. Before Reopening Your Business, you must comply with both Federal and State guidelines.

In the Official Gazette of the Federation of May 15 2020, formalizes the "Technical Guidelines for Sanitary Safety” of the Ministry of Health.

These guidelines are considered "Mandatory" prior to the reopening of any business and the "Return to the new Normality".

Mexico City, as well as various States, have defined specific rules, which are promulgated in their "Official Gazette". In the case of CDMX, the additional rules in a Federal level are issued in the CDMX Official Gazette of May 29, 2020.

BDO Mexico supports you to avoid sanctions and non-compliance and we support you to consider:

5.- Obtaining a Commitnent Letter for Canitary Measures

Obtain a commitment letter, in cases and states that apply.
Present the letter at business facilities as required by Regulation.

1.- Self-Assessment of Points Issued by the Ministry of Health

Questionnaire of 79 points.
The obligation of companies varies depending on their size.
The biggest challenge is implementing.
Some industries, must obtain a Permit from the IMSS prior operating.

3.- Outbreak Mitigation

Define protocols and keep records on:

Sick staff and contact groups (internal and external).
Personnel with symptoms. Additionally, have protective equipment.

2.- Information and Training

Implement a dissemination scheme with a focus on education and prevention.
Train ALL STAFF.
Include, in certain cases, aspects of COVID19 in the Code of Ethics and even in the "Business Continuity Plan".

4.- Vulnerable Groups

Identify in collaborators their vulnerable groups (Diabetes, Hypertension, and Cancer, among others).
Define management policies for these groups.
Protect them ensuring Non-Discrimination.
