The fivesenses

The tongue the organ of TASTE.

The nose is the organ of SMELL.

The skin is the organ of TOUCH.

The ears are the organs of HEARING..

The eyes are the organs of SIGHT.

THE FIVE SENSES

+ info

The nerves receive information from the sense organs (eyes, ear, nose, skin and tongue) and send it to the brain.

The BRAIN is the most important organ of the system. It is inside our head and it is protected by the skull.

The nervous system is made up of the brain and the nerves.

It controls all the body and helps us interact with the environment.

THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

Tempo Labor

Joints connect two or more bones.

Muscles are soft and flexible. They help move the bones. They are connected to bones and can contract and relax.

Bones are hard and rigid. They support the body and protect the organs.

JOINTS

MUSCLES

BONES

The locomotor system makes our body move when our brain commands it to move. It is made up bones, muscles and joints.

THE LOCOMOTOR SYSTEM

The EXCRETORY SYSTEM cleans the blood inside the body.

The CIRCULATORY SYSTEM moves blood through the heart and around our body.

The RESPIRATORY SYSTEM helps us breathe. It carries oxygen from the air to our blood and expels carbon dioxide.

The DIGESTIVE SYSTEM transforms food into nutrients.

The digestive system breaks down the food we eat into nutrients and carries them into our blood. It is made up several organs: mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine and large intestine.

THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

Tempo Labor

  • The respiratory system helps us breathe. It carries oxygen from the air to our blood and expels carbon dioxide.
  • It is made up several organs: nose, pharynx, trachea, bronchi and lungs.

THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

Tempo Labor

  • The circulatory system moves blood through the heart and around our body.
  • The blood carries nutrients and oxygen to the organs and transports waste and Carbon Dioxide to be expelled out of the body.
  • It consists of: the heart, blood, arteries and veins.

THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM

Tempo Labor

  • The excretory system cleans the blood inside the body.
  • Some of the organs are: kidneys, bladder and urethra.

THE EXCRETORY SYSTEM

Male reproductive system

Female reproductive system

The reproductive system makes it possible for us to have babies. It has different organs in boys and girls.

To sum up

vital functions

The CIRCULATORY SYSTEM transports nutrients and oxygen.

The RESPIRATORY SYSTEM gets oxygen from the air.

The DIGESTIVE SYSTEM transforms food into nutrients.

The EXCRETORY SYSTEM eliminates waste.

Nutrition is the process of obtaining energy. Our body gets this energy from food. It also gets energy from the air we breathe.

The Nervous System controls all the body and helps us interact with the environment..

We use our bones and muscles for responding to the information.

Our five senses give us information about the world.

REPRODUCTION is the process of having children.

NUTRITION gives us the energy we need to live.

In INTERACTION we get information from the world. Then, we respond to it.
