pARTIAL-DAY

full-DAY

begins March 15

BUS RIDER ARRIVAL The buses will be released one run at a time to enter the building. All students will be required to wear masks. Teachers will help with escorting students directly into the building to maintain social distance. Students will go directly to their 1st period class. BUS RIDER DISMISSAL At the end of each day, students will pause and listen to afternoon announcements. Announcements will have a focus on bus dismissal. Students should know their run number (not the actual number on the side of the bus). CAR RIDER ARRIVAL Students may enter the building starting at 7:20 am. All students entering the school at any time will be required to wear masks. Masks should be formal coverings that completely cover the nose and mouth. This does not include using a shirt or jacket as a face covering. We will be unloading three vehicles at a time. There will be three cones, spaced 6 feet apart, for students to exit the cars. As students get out of their cars, they will be directed to the main entrance, the doors of which are propped open to the main hallway, bypassing the front office. To ensure that students maintain a social distance, students may need to be released slower than normal. Once in the building, students are to move directly to their homeroom. CAR RIDER DISMISSAL: Students, even permanent car riders, will not be dismissed until their parent has arrived. The student's information will be called into the main office for student retrieval.

This schedule is the same for both Path students and Virtual Academy Year-long students.

Signs are posted throughout the building to remind students of expectations for staying healthy.

Students will be provided with a personal water bottle, a lanyard with a clip to attach their mask, and an agenda.

Our first priority is to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Social distancing and wearing a mask will be enforced.

Students must remain seated with a mask on, and no food may be eaten on the bus.

LEAVING CLASS AND RETURNING DURING CLASS RESTROOM E-hallpass, an online tracking tool, will be used to sign out of class. The student will use his/her computer to make the request, and the student must wait to receive approval by the teacher. Only three females and three males at a time across the whole floor can be sent out to use the restroom at one time. One male and one female may use the restroom and the other two will wait on the socially distanced floor sticker closest to the restroom they are waiting to enter. ALL OTHER LOCATIONS Students will use e-hallpass to request a pass for any other location. Students should take all their materials with them if the pass is issued near the end of a period.

BREAKFAST Breakfast will be available on tables near student entrances. Students will eat their breakfast in their 1st period class. They should sanitize their hands prior to and after eating. LUNCH Lunch will be Grab and Go at the end of the day. Lunches and extended-day food will be located on tables (same location as breakfast). Students will pick up a lunch and extended food bags on the way out. Students will take their bag(s) with them onto the bus or out to their car.

ENTERING CLASS

  • Students must wait outside of the classroom in a single file line for their teacher to allow them to enter.
  • Students must be masked and stand a minimum of three feet apart while waiting to enter the room. Masks should be formal coverings that completely cover their nose and mouth. This does not include using a shirt or jacket as a face covering.
  • Students will sit in assigned seats and are not allowed to get up from their desk without teacher permission. They are to go straight to the area, for example, the pencil sharpener, and straight back to their seat.
  • Students are not allowed to share materials. That includes pencils, paper, and pens. Teachers will have a limited supply of items to give to the students.
LEAVING CLASS DURING CLASS CHANGES
  • Students must not leave their desks until directed to exit the room.
  • Students will remain socially distanced while following the arrows to their next class.
  • Restrooms will be closed during class changes.
  • Students will not be allowed to go to the nurse, the main office, counseling office, or other teacher’s classrooms between classes (during the class change).
  • Students are to go directly to their next class and will not be allowed to congregate or stop at other locations in the hallway.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS ARRIVAL: Instrument Flatbeds: A cart is available at the top of the music hall and by the stairwell by the main bus loop entrance for dropping off instruments in the morning. Instrument cases will be disinfected prior to retrieval in class. DISMISSAL: Instrument Retrieval: Instruments will be located on a cart by grade level. Students should pick up the instrument in front of the counseling office before leaving the building at dismissal.

Students and parents should review the "Student Symptom Checker" each morning before in-person learning. If a student remains home due to illness, please consult with a health care provider and check-in with Nurse Vona before returning to school. Click on the image to access the actual document.
