Can you find the Home Button on your iPad? The picture below has an arrow that points to it. We push this button a lot on iPads, don't we? It always takes us back to the home screen, where we can see all of our apps.

There are actually two cameras in an iPad - one on the front and another on the back. The top picture is pointing to the front camera. It is at the top in the middle, and it is very small. Can you find it on your own iPad? The bottom picture is pointing to the back camera on the iPad. Can you find it on your own iPad?

These square pictures on the screen are called apps. Our school iPads have a lot of apps that look different than the ones in this photo because we have added apps that are specially made for kids to learn and play.

On the side of your iPad near the top are volume buttons. Push the top one- it makes sounds go louder. Push the bottom one- it makes sounds go quieter. Push the bottom button all the way & it will MUTE your volume, which means it will have no sound.

There is a little hole at the very bottom of our iPad. It is called a port, and it is where you put the plug for the iPad. See it in the picture below? Can you find it on your own iPad?

All iPads have little speakers at the very bottom. If you have a case on your iPad, you might not be able to see them right now, but they are there. It is where the sound comes out. Here is a picture of what the speakers on an iPad look like:

There is a button on the top edge of your iPad that is the Power button. If you push it quickly, it will make your iPad's screen go black and turn off. If you push it long, it will make a button on the screen for you to swipe so that you can turn your iPad completely off. We don't need to turn it all the way off most of the time, though. Pressing it once is good enough!
