Two weeks ago we showed you our school.

Then, we will be happy to see your place!

Today, we would like to answer your questions about our school and learning in Poland.

Are you in a government school or private school? We are a public school, financed partly by the government and partly by the City of Katowice. All public schools in Poland work in this way and the governing board of such a school is the Municipality. State schools are free, which means parents don’t pay for the children’s education.

3. What is the name of your school? We are Szkoła Podstawowa nr 34 im. Mikołaja Kopernika. In English – 34 Nicholas Copernicus Primary School.

4.What challenges do you face at your school? We have a lot of challenges, for example: a lot of homework, a lot of tests and short tests. We also have to carry very heavy school bags every day. We need to carry our books and they are heavy.

5. In which grade do you end at in your school? You start primary school when you are seven, and you finish when you are 15. We go to primary school for eight years.
