因應學界踴躍的支持，儘管在2019冠狀病毒肺炎的影響下《英文串字精英盃》2020仍會舉辦。是次比賽將會在網上進行，同時比賽的形式亦會與往年不同。 雖然如此，是次比賽將會一如以往為學生帶來刺激和樂趣!

‘‘Super Speller’’ 2020 is still on…

Due to popular request, ‘‘Super Speller’’ 2020 is still on despite the interruption by COVID-19. It will be conducted online and under a different format from previous years. However, it will be equally fun and exciting for our students!

學校只能分派兩名學生為一組作參賽隊伍。

B組: 小學三年級

Group B: Primary 3 students

A組: 小學二年級

每間學校可選擇參加以下各一或兩個組別:

Each school can only assign ONE team of TWO students to participate in each group .

Categories 組別

Group A: Primary 2 students

Each school can participate in one or both of the following categories:

比賽時段: 上午7時半至8時或下午4時至5時

比賽日期: 2020年12月7日至11日及14日至18日

比賽時間為30分鐘。

每間參賽學校有特定的比賽日期和時段。

Each competition will be for about 30 minutes.

Date & Times 日期和時間

Competition date and time will be assigned for each participating school.

Times of competition: 7:30 am – 8:00 am / 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Dates of competition: 7th – 11th & 14th – 18th December, 2020

Competition Details比賽詳情

如有多於兩組的參賽隊伍累積串字數量相同，勝出者為較早串得該字數量的參賽隊伍。

If two or more teams have the same number of correct answers at the end of the round, the team reaching that number first will be the winner.

每間學校將個別進行比賽。所有參賽隊伍按回合內正確答題的數目作排名。

Advancement System 晉級機制

Each school will participate in the competition individually. All teams will be ranked according to the correct answers they provided during the rounds.

Top 3 Teams最高分三組

Top 6 Teams最高分六組

所有參賽隊伍將於每回合的指定時間下作賽。獲勝的參賽隊伍根據以下的機制晉級:

Advancement System晉級機制

All teams will participate each round of competition within specific duration. Winning teams will advance according to the system below :

勝出的參賽隊伍將會在翌日收到下一個比賽的時間。

每組參賽隊伍的排名及分數會於Super Speller活動頁面上公佈。

當比賽時間終止，評判會宣布得分結果給參賽隊伍。

評判會判斷參賽者是否正確串出各個生字。

在比賽中，發問員讀出問題，參賽隊伍要在指定時間內串出各個生字。

每組參賽隊伍應根據指定的日期和時間進入比賽室。

Teams that can advance to the next round will be notified of the schedule of the next competition the following day.

Ranking of each team will be posted on the Super Speller web page.

When time is up, the Judge will announce the result to the students.

The Judge will decide whether a wordis spelt correctly.

During the competition, the Pronouncer will ask the questions and students will spell the words within the time limit.

Each team should enter the online competition room at the assigned date and time.

Rundown 比賽流程

學校應提供手提電腦及穩定寬頻網絡以令比賽能順利進行。

學生應在學校透過ZOOM線上會議平台進行比賽。在比賽進行期間，請負責老師或學校職員陪同學生。

School should provide computers capable of using ZOOM and supported by stable broadband internet connection.

Students are required to participate in the competition at the school via ZOOM. Teacher or school staff should accompany the students during the competition.

大會保留所有更改或修訂比賽規則或比賽日程的權利。

Changes & Amendments更改及修訂

The event organiser reserves the right to change or amend any rules, regulations or competition schedule without further notice. Decision by the organiser is final.
