- There are four subgroups: CRUSTACEANS, INSECTS, MYRIAPODS and ARACHNIDS.

- This large group of invertebrates is divided into three subgroups: GASTROPODS, BIVALVES and CEPHALOPODS.

- Some have a PROTECTIVE SHELL.
- They have TWO EYES on the end of antennae.
- They live ON LAND and IN WATER.

- They have a soft body.
- They have two shells.
- They live in water.

- They have a SOFT BODY.
- Most don't have an EXTERNAL SHELL.
- They have a BIG HEAD with TENTACLES
- They live IN WATER.
