This book is about Antonio, a Spanish young man who travels to New York for the first time. As he visits the city he introduces us to the most popular places of NY and its touristic routes. Furthermore, he and his friends tell us about their lifestyle and culture, going through the popular food -hot dogs- to many other things like the explanation of the tradition of Thanksgiving day.To put it in a nutshell, it is a great book to learn about this amazing city and I definitely will take their advice into account if I ever decide to visit it.

The Statue of Liberty
It is one of the most popular monuments of New York. It is located on Liberty Island, at the south of Manhattan Island and next to the Hudson River. It was a gift from the French people to celebrate the independence of America in 1886. It was designed by the sculptor Frédéric Auguste Barthold and the engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. It represents freedom from oppression.
Empire State Building
It was the tallest building in the world for forty years until the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center broke the record. It was inaugurated the 1st May 1931 and is 380 meters long and it has observatories on its 86 and 102 floors. Chinatown
Chinatown is the biggest asian neighbourhood of New York, located in Manhattan, it is surrounded by other famous neighbourhoods like Little Italy. It started when many chinese immigrants came to New York City and decided to group themselves in order to be protected from racism and defend their rights. Nowadays, Chinatown helps the new chinese immigrants to be able to start a life in the city. It is also very visited by the tourist because of its extravagance ,colorfulness, and variety of shops where you can find souvenirs, imitations of expensive brands, and typical food.
Little Italy
Little Italy is a smaller neighbourhood which also started as an agrupation of immigrants (in this case italian immigrants). It is said to own many of the best restaurants of New York and also one of the most ancient bakeries of the city “Ferrara Bakery & Cafe”. Also, each september there is a big party that lasts eleven days, the "Feast of San Genaro" , that has parades and even more food.
CENTRAL PARK
Strawberry Fields is the name given to the central area of Central Park in memorial to John Lennon. He was murdered near there on the 8th of December 1980. During his lifetime he had said that it was one of its favourites places, so they decided to rename it in his memory. The reason for that specific name was the song “Strawberry Fields Forever” , a The Beatles’s song.
Strawberry Fields
This tradition is celebrated the fourth thursday of November with a big delicious dinner which usually contains turkey. The families thank everything they have, everything they forget and enjoy their time together. This day commemorates how Native Americans helped the first English settlers to survive the first difficult year in the New World. The Native American teached them what vegetables they had to grow and how, after their first harvest, the English settlers decided to thank them by inviting them to a big dinner. This party took place in 1621 and it was 3 days long.
