Apprentices are paid during this on-the-job training program, giving participants the support they need to be successful and the quality education and mentoring needed to be an impactful part of the R.T. Moore team from day one. LAUNCH complements the state apprenticeship and licensing program, and focuses on the how-to of plumbing installation per RTMC Quality Standards. Not only do participants learn how to maximize efficiency and thrive under the piece-rate model, every aspect of a plumbing job has been broken down into individual modules that are trained and then certified. To earn certifications, the trainee not only has to complete the installation or activity per the RTMC Quality Standards, but also has to do so in a set amount of time designated for that piece of installation of activity.

Although most workers specialize in fabrication, installation or maintenance, some do all three jobs. In addition some sheet metal workers specialize in testing, balancing, adjusting, and servicing existing air-conditioning and ventilation systems to make sure they are functioning properly and to improve their energy efficiency. Properly installed duct systems are a key component to heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, which causes duct installers to sometimes be referred to as HVAC technicians. Many sheet metal workers work as detailers drawing the mechanical systems for a project using the latest computer aided drawing programs.

ABOUT
Marines are trained to improvise, adapt and overcome any obstacle in whatever situation they are needed. They have the willingness to engage and the determination to defeat the enemy until victory is seized. The kinds of battles active-duty Marines fight range from traditional warfare to humanitarian and disaster relief missions (HADR). The fighting spirit that helps them win these battles extends beyond the scope of their military service, and many Marines continue to serve in the communities where they live.
