Using Mango Languages(Apple and Android)

Log in with your Member Number and PIN and choose from more than 70 languages to learn.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Mango Languages is the fast, easy, and most effective way to learn to speak a foreign language! It is an online language learning system that teaches real conversation for practical communication. In no time at all, you'll be able to navigate all sorts of everyday situations - get directions, order a meal, make new friends - the possibilities are endless.

Tap 'Install' to begin download, then tap Open.

Open Play Store and search for Mango.

Tap 'Get' to begin download, then tap Open.

Open the App Store and search for Mango.

If you have a library card, your member number is located on the back of your card starting with a capital S. If you are a digital member, your member number starts with 555. If your member number starts with S, you must use a capital S when logging in.

GETTING STARTED

Tap I Agree to accept the Data Consent Form.

Enter your email address and a password of your choosing.

Tap Sign Up.

SIGNING UP

Tap Search button next to Find Free Mango.

Select a language you would like to learn.

Tap Continue to complete sign up.

Enter your Member Number. If you have a library card you must use a capital S.Tap Access Mango to continue.

Tap Shoalhaven Libraries.

Tap in search box and search for Shoalhaven.

Enter your password then tap Log In.

Enter your email address then tap Next.

Tap Log In.

LOGGING IN

Each unit is broken down into chapters and lessons. Tap a chapter then a lesson. You can download a lesson for offline learning by tapping the black down arrow.

To begin learning, tap the first unit.

On screen the English word as well as the translated word will be displayed.

To progress through the lesson, tap Next.

To begin the lesson, tap Start

Each lesson will have an overview of its contents.

As you progress through each lesson, your progress will be marked with a green tick. Overall progress is displayed in circle next to chapter title.

To access Course Settings, tap the cog icon.You can enable or disable the narrator, closed captions, night mode, quiz timer and multiple choice.

These lessons are designed to help you learn words through a conversation.To quiz yourself, tap Apply.

A chapter may have a Listening and/or Reading lesson.

If you are learning multiple languages, swipe left/right or use arrows to show languages.

Tap Resume to continue your learning or tap Delete to remove language.

If you would like to start another language, tap Languages then tap the three lined icon. This will display a list of languages. Tap on a language to begin learning.

To go back to Chapters or Units, tap the Chapter/Unit button in the top left.

Your Profile allows you to view Recent Languages, set up Study Reminders, view your Organizations, set up family profiles, Delete your downloaded data (offline lessons), access support, and log out.

To access profile, tap the person icon in top right of screen.

A reminder will be displayed at the day/time reminding you to study.

Tap Save Settings to finish.

Enable reminders and select Time and select Days.

To set up Study Reminders, tap Study Reminders from the Profile menu.
