- All organisms are made up of one or more cells.

Eukaryote
- Has several internal structures (organelles).
- True nucleus.
- Either unicellular or multicellular.
Prokaryote
- Lacks internal compartments.
- No true nucleus.
- Most are single-celled (unicellular) organisms.
