VIDEOGAMES HISTORY
The British teacher AS Douglas created OXO, the popular game we know as "tic tac toe".
William Higginbothan created Tennis for Two, a table tennis simulator.
Steve Russell invented a videogame called Spacewar. It was the first videogame that could be played in multiple computer stations.
SPACE INVADERS
SECOND GAME CONSOLES GENERATION Atari launched Atari 2600 (Video Computer System) which included joysticks, colors and interchangeable games.
Sanders Associates, Inc.(Ralph Baer) invented the first console that could be played in a TV. It was known as "the brown box". Ralph Baer (the father of videogames) gave the console to Magnavox who sold the system to people. It was called Odyssey and it was the first domestic console.
PAC-MAN was created in 1980. In 1981 Nintendo created Donkey Kong and introduced Mario as a character in this universe. In 1982 Microsoft launched its first game: Flight Simulator.
Sega launched the Saturn System, the first console that charged the games with a CD. It was the rival of Playstation 1.
VIDEOGAMES MODERN AGE It was the time of Xbox 360 by Microsoft, PlayStation 3 by Sony and Wii by Nintendo.
We are in the eighth generation of videogames. We have much to see, and the best is yet to come...
