DO IT BY:
Nuclear power plants create a lot of energy with the nuclear reactor, but the waste created by the materials they work with cannot be renewed and polluted.

NUCLEAR POWER PLANT Reactor: It's the most important part. Are produced uranium melts. Steam generator: The steam generator is a heat exchanger. Steam is put at high temperature and pressure. Turbine: The turbine has a cylindrical shape. The steam passes through the turbine at high pressure to make it spin and produce energy. Generator: The generator transforms energy into electricity. Condensor and cooling tower: The condenser and the cooling tower cool and filter the water and steam to return them to the environment. Power Scheme Reactor=Chemical Energy Boiler=Thermal Energy Turbine=Mechanic Energy Alternator=Continous Energy Generator= Alternating Energy
In Catalonia there are four reactors two in Vandellós and two in Ascó, the four reactors are from Iberdrola and Endesa, there are the reactors Vandellós I and Vandellós II and also the reactors Ascó I and Ascó II, each reactor is a nuclear power plant different. Right now Vandellós I isn't active.
The Ascó II nuclear power plant is a second generation nuclear power plant located in the Ribera de l'Ebre, between the towns of Ascó and Flix, Tarragona (Catalonia). This reactor was founded in 1986. It Is next to the Ascó I.
The Ascó I nuclear power plant is a second generation nuclear power plant located in the Ribera de l'Ebre, between the towns of Ascó and Flix, Tarragona (Catalonia). This reactor was founded in 1984.
Vandellós II Is a nuclear power plant In the town Vandellós (Baix Camp), Tarragona (Catalonia). It was founded in 1981 and is PWR type.
Vandellós II Is a nuclear power plant In the town Vandellós, Tarragona (Catalonia). This reactor was founded in 1967. Now it's inactive due to a turbine fire in the conventional part in 1989.
How does a nuclear power plant work? For electricity to reach our homes, there are steps that energy must follow to get to our homes. First the energy is in the reactor, because the reactor have uranium and nuetrons, both of you, create a explosion and this explosion create heat. After the water it goes inside the boiler, evaporates, the boiler have the heat of the explosion that the reactor creates. Later the steam move the turbine and the turbine move the alternator, the alternator create electricity continous with the magnets that it has in. To end the generator change the continuos energy to altern energy.
