Modifiers for Adjectives

To make an adjective stronger we use: very, so and really. That mural is very big. This collage is so interesting. I really like that painting.

To make an adjective weaker we use: pretty It is a pretty ugly mosaic. That painting is pretty good, but I have seen better ones.

When something is more than what we want or like we say: Too The sun is too bright today. This food is too hot.

When something is less than what we want or like we say: Enough There are not enough colors in that painting. That photography is not good enough for me.

Order of Adjectives

When we are describing something and we use different adjectives we have to order those adjectives in a specific order. 1. Opinion 2. Size 3. Color

Examples The nice big red car. This is a beautiful small purple mural. I do not like these ugly little black shoes.
