Making plans

By the end of the lesson, you’ll be able to talk about plans and intentions

Our approach

The approach used in our Virtual Classroom mirrors that of our face-to-face courses and focuses on students’ ability to use the language and not just learn about language. A key aspect of the Virtual Classroom is flexibility and developing learner autonomy. As such, students are encouraged to read, research or carry out tasks before the lesson. This ‘flipped’ approach maximises opportunities in the online classroom for communication and practice and makes this time more dynamic and practical.

What do these have in common?

The teacher will show these images and students will share their ideas on the chatbox

Pets

Pets

Do you have a pet? Did you have a pet when you were a child?Do lots of people have pets in your country? What kind of pets are common in your country?Which pets take the most time and effort to look after?

An unusual pet!

One day a man and his wife were walking down the street when they came across a penguin. “Oh!” exclaimed the man. “What a surprise! What shall we do with it?”“I know,” said his wife. “We’ll ask a policeman.”So they found a policeman and explained what had happened. “Mmm,” said the policeman, “I think the best thing is to take it to the zoo.”“What a good idea!” said the woman. “We’ll go there straight away.”The next morning the policeman was walking down the same street when he saw the couple again with the penguin. “I thought I told you to take that penguin to the zoo,” the policeman said. “Well, we did,” said the man. “We took it to the zoo and we all had a really good time. So this afternoon we’re taking it to the cinema and this evening we’re going to have a meal in a fish restaurant.”
